Face Coverings

Posted on July 14th, 2020

From 24th July it will be mandatory to wear a face covering inside shops in England. It is already mandatory to wear one on public transport and when visiting a healthcare setting such as your GP surgery, for those over the age of 11 and who are not exempt (see below).

When you wear a face covering, it can be a mask, scarf or bandana and will need to cover your nose and mouth. You can read guidance on how to make your own face covering here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering/how-to-wear-and-make-a-cloth-face-covering

For a list of exemptions click here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-safer-travel-guidance-for-passengers#exemptions-face-coverings

See the Face coverings  page of our website for more information.
